be a part of mariposas amarillas
Volunteer in one of the most beautiful places on our planet - the Caribbean region of Colombia.
Are you planning to visit northern Colombia in your South American travels? Would you like to give back to a community in need? Are you passionate about progress and social justice? Then we'd be more than happy to welcome you to volunteer with Mariposas Amarillas!
We are looking for both for 1 to 3 months. You can decide yourself how long you want to stay, and you make your own work schedule. While is is better for the students for a volunteers to stay at least 1 month, we can be flexible. The benefit of this structure is that you will have plenty of time to take Spanish or dive courses, explore nearby areas such as Tayrona National Park, or just lie on the beach if you like!
The kind of work you will complete with us will largely depend on your interests, skills, time commitment, and ability to speak Spanish. We welcome people with any skill, or none! Volunteers can help with administration, fundraising, publicity and/or teach classes and
offer basic academic support. This is a great opportunity to witness the operation of a true grassroots organization in South America while enjoying all Colombia's Caribbean coast has to offer.
but im not coming to colombia!
We always need help with fund raising and publicity, so even if you are not planning a trip to Colombia in the near future, please contact us, we'd love to work with you! Ideas for volunteering from afar include:

Helping us with our web or graphic design needs - can you improve on this website?
-
Organising a fundraising event in your home town
-
Listing our work on more websites and making contact with businesses around the world
